Does Windows 11 offer more speed and convenience than Windows 10?
To summarize, Windows 11 is fast, stable and user-friendly - these are the biggest advantages of Windows 11.
Many tried-and-tested functions from Windows 10 are included, including the Task Manager, virus protection, Quick Start mode and practical keyboard shortcuts (Windows + X).

Does Windows 11 have stricter hardware requirements than its predecessor Windows 10?
The answer to this question is a resounding YES. Although the upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is free, only users of modern hardware will benefit. Among other things, a current processor from Intel 8th generation or AMD Ryzen 2000 series is required.
If a TPM 2.0 chip (Trusted Platform Module) is missing, which many older PCs do not have, or a Secure Boot, the upgrade to Windows 11 will be officially denied.
For many devices that still work smoothly with Windows 10, Windows 11 is the end of the road. Critics suspect that Microsoft is also trying to boost sales of new hardware. One thing is clear: if you want to use Windows 11, you need a compatible system - or you have to invest. Although these hurdles can be technically circumvented, Microsoft expressly excludes security or update guarantees for such systems.
Will familiar functions be lost with Windows 11?
Here too, the answer is YES in some respects. With Windows 11, some options that many long-time users appreciate will disappear. Particularly noticeable: the taskbar can no longer be moved freely. Instead of at the top, left or right as before, only one position is allowed by default, namely at the bottom of the screen. It can only be moved by changing the registry. Do I need a mandatory online account with Windows 11 Home Edition?
The answer here is YES and NO. A particularly controversial issue is the mandatory use of a Microsoft account when installing Windows 11 Home Edition. Offline installation with a local account, as was previously possible, is no longer provided for. The trick of temporarily cutting the Internet connection also no longer works. Those who value complete offline use must choose the more expensive Windows 11 Pro Edition.
However, there are workarounds to install Windows 10 or 11 without a Microsoft account and create a local account.
This works reliably with Windows 11 from 22H2 with the method of bypassing the Internet connection.

- Enter the following: OOBE\BYPASSNRO
- Press Enter, Windows restarts

What are the compatibility and conversion issues when switching to Windows 11?
Older devices, drivers or special programs can actually cause problems under Windows 11.
Although the new user interface is more modern, it also has to put up with criticism: The animations, for example when opening menus, do not appeal to every user and cannot be specifically deactivated. There are also redundant functions, e.g. several music apps with an almost identical range of functions. At the same time, useful features such as the ability to play DVDs with Windows Media Player are missing.
Also relevant for companies or power users: some settings are duplicated in the Control Panel and in the new Settings app, which can be confusing.
What other points of criticism in everyday life with Windows 11 are worth mentioning?
After a long break, the startup sound is back - activated when logging into the user account. Not all users find the sound an enrichment, some find it annoying in the long run.
Animations and transparency effects are more demanding on weaker systems. However, they can be reduced in the accessibility option. After all.
